Water's Edge in Saratoga Springs

Water’s Edge Homeowners Association in Saratoga Springs, NY, shared an RFP to “modernize and rework the existing logo while maintaining the blue squiggle.” I refreshed the Water’s Edge logo by evolving the original blue gestural mark into a smoother form that more clearly suggests a “W,” and I added two more flowing waves that subtly form an “E” to the right, integrating the community’s initials into a cohesive mark. Finally, I updated the typography to create a more sophisticated and luxurious identity that matched the culture of the community.

Where's Will?

I served as creative director for Where’s Will?, a daily blog featuring videos and photos of author and Grinnell College emeritus professor Will Freeman on his motorcycle trip around the United States. I built a WordPress website and posted blogs using entries that Will wrote and sent to me each night of his journey. Will captured 360° footage with an Insta360 X5, and I edited hours of video down to key moments and created time lapses that showcased the beautiful landscape of his travels. Content achieved over 130k views for the first half of his trip. The Western U.S. portion of the trip was postponed to Spring 2026 due to weather.

Carolina Distance Carnival

I created social media graphics for the Carolina Distance Carnival, an elite high school track meet in Matthews, NC. I updated the original logo with the added event, the 3200m, and the new year, 2024. For the overall visual identity, I built off the carnival theme. This meant flags, tents, and tickets. I created graphics to highlight when elite individuals and teams registered for the meet. Instead of “signed up” or “registered,” which are common headings for graphics of similar meets, I played on the carnival theme with the phrase “ticket punched.” I also created countdown graphics to mimic the countdown to when a carnival comes to town.

Venu

I created a set of mock image ads, featuring the brand Venu. This imagined campaign would have run before Venu’s opening season hosting concerts at Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which overlooks Pikes Peak. The copywriting positions the venue as the pinnacle of entertainment, attracting brands to sponsor ticketed suites and events.
